SMS Alerts Opt-In

CanaryHub is an uptime-monitoring service operated by Eigen Group LLC. Customers who enable SMS alerts receive transactional account notifications about the monitors on their own account — downtime alerts, recovery notices, and health notifications. This page documents exactly how consent is collected, since the opt-in screen lives inside the password-protected customer dashboard.

How opt-in works

1. The account holder signs in to their dashboard at app.canaryhub.ai and opens Settings → SMS Alerts.
2. They enter their own mobile number.
3. They check a consent checkbox that is unticked by default. The submit button stays disabled until the box is checked.
4. On submit, we record the consent timestamp with the account and send a one-time confirmation message.

Consent is collected only for the account holder’s own number, is not a condition of purchase, and no phone numbers are imported, purchased, or shared.

• CanaryHub ALERT: api.example.com is DOWN (HTTP 503) as of 14:02 UTC. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
• CanaryHub: api.example.com has RECOVERED and is back online (200 OK, 110ms).
• CanaryHub: SSL certificate for example.com expires in 7 days. Renew soon to avoid downtime.

Frequency, rates, opt-out, and help

• Message frequency varies with the number of monitors on the account and their activity.
• Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
• Opt out any time by replying STOP to any message or disabling SMS alerts in settings. One final confirmation message is sent.
• Get help by replying HELP or emailing support@canaryhub.ai.
• Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See the SMS section of our Privacy Policy.
