Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
CanaryHub (“CanaryHub”, “we”, “us”) is an uptime and observability service operated by Eigen Group LLC, a California limited liability company (Tustin, CA, USA). This policy explains what information we collect when you use canaryhub.ai and the CanaryHub application, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using CanaryHub you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up (including via Google sign-in) we receive your name, email address, and profile image.
- Monitoring configuration. The URLs, health-check endpoints, and alert settings you configure for your monitors.
- Phone number (optional). If you enable SMS alerts, we collect the mobile number you provide so we can text you when your services go down or recover. See SMS & mobile information below.
- Event data. Operational events your applications send to our ingest API (event type, timestamps, and metadata you choose to include).
- Usage analytics. We use self-hosted, cookieless Umami analytics to understand aggregate site usage. It does not use cookies or track you across sites.
2. How we use information
We use your information solely to provide and improve CanaryHub: running your monitors, delivering the alerts you request (SMS, Telegram, WhatsApp, email), showing you dashboards and incident history, providing support, and securing the service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. SMS & mobile information
If you opt in to SMS alerts, we use your phone number exclusively to send the transactional alert messages you requested (downtime, recovery, and health notifications for your own monitors) and related service messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service and SMS delivery (Twilio), is permitted. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with, or sold to, any third parties.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by disabling SMS alerts in your account settings. Reply HELP or email support@canaryhub.ai for help. See the SMS Terms for full messaging terms.
4. Service providers
We share data only with the subprocessors needed to run the service:
- Fly.io — application hosting and managed database (USA).
- Twilio — SMS delivery, if you enable SMS alerts.
- Telegram / WhatsApp (Meta) — alert delivery on those channels, if you enable them.
Each provider receives only the data required to perform its function and may not use it for its own purposes.
5. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Monitoring results and event data are retained according to your plan’s history limits and then deleted or aggregated. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Data is stored on access-controlled infrastructure, and API keys are stored hashed. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
7. Your rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal information at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@canaryhub.ai. California residents may exercise rights under the CCPA, and EU/UK residents under the GDPR, through the same contact. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. Children
CanaryHub is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app.
